Seattle | 3D Cities

The “Emerald City,” named for its landscape of nearly 4.5 million trees (about 7 trees per person), is also evergreen when it comes to innovation. Equally pragmatic and enigmatic, Seattle is home to gems like the 29th-tallest building in the US (Columbia Center, 967 ft) and the fantastically extra Arctic Club, adorned with no fewer than 25 walrus heads. Lest we forget the iconic Space Needle (604 ft) -- look for it in our 12” and larger models.

Jewel of the Pacific Northwest

Seattle’s blend of influences, from traditional maritime to high-tech industrial, coupled with its desire to build towards the future without losing the past (We’re looking at you, Façadism) has produced highlights like the Biltmore Apartments in Tudor-Gothic splendor; Rainier Tower (514.0 ft), the skyscraper with the inverted pyramid base; and local favorite (and gravity-defying) Seattle Public Library, constructed of geometric glass and and a particularly impressive overhang.

Seattle’s diversity of noteworthy sites is as great as Columbia Center is tall (76 stories!). You’ll also view waterfront piers, your favorite Pike Place streets, and even the Sinking Ship (famously called both the “ugliest building” and the “coolest” structure in Seattle). Whether you’re a satellite tourist or a born-and-bred Seattleite, this 3D map will have you looking at both its hills and its heights in a totally new - and totally miniature - way.

The MiniCty models of Seattle are built from laser-scan data spanning 2016 through 2020; your own personal Seattle of any of these five years can be purchased from MiniCty. The 2020 models include Rainier Square Tower, F5 Tower, Madison Centre, re:Invent, and the Qualtrics Tower. The 8” model pictured above covers just below the Amazon Campus in the north to South Jackson Street, and east from 12th Avenue to Alaskan Way (which runs along Elliott Bay, the body of water on which Seattle was founded in the 1850s).

While our 8”x8” MiniCty models are standard, we also offer a variety of larger sizes to satisfy any desire. Sizes include 12”, 16”, 24”, 30”, 36”, up to a wall-covering 54”x54”. As the prints get larger, the buildings get bigger and the detail increases! But you get a lot more than simply buildings from MiniCty - you get every tree, bus, hill, park, bridge, and detail, and the largest prints include every car, fence, chimney, spire, and shrub! Check out the shop for prices, and ask us if you don’t see the size you want. We do custom work as well!
