Gateway to the American West

On the steps of the Capitol in Denver, Colorado, is a plaque indicating its elevation above sea level: 5280 feet. The "Mile High City" only recently (2000) broke into the list of top 20 metropolitan areas in the USA, but residents and visitors might wonder why it took so long: a combination of sunshine, culture, and great outdoor activities make Denver one of the most desirable cities in America to live.

Downtown Denver is the focus of our base 1:10000 model, and we span the area from the 1894 Capitol building in the southeast corner, a part of the nearby Denver Art Museum on 13th Ave, parts of MSU-Denver on the west, Union Station and LoDo in the northwest, to Lawson and Benedict Fountain Parks on the northeast and east sides. Larger models extend those bounds to include Coors Field and Pepsi Center. You'll see the characteristic diagonal street of the northwest core, envisioned by Henry Brown to allow sunlight to melt snow more evenly.

The whole city was laser scanned in 2013, with no detail left out: you'll see trees, buses, spires, parks, sculptures, HVAC units on the building tops, and everything larger than a car. Despite all the new construction in the city, we've got the Republic Plaza, which at 717 feet is the tallest building in the mountain states, 1801 California, the Wells Fargo Center (the "Cash Register"), and numerous other well-known buildings. In fact, the 8" model contains all but one of the 20 tallest buildings: missing only 1144 Fifteenth, next door to the Four Seasons. Order one today and receive a carefully detailed 3D model of this dynamic and exciting city.

While our 8”x8” MiniCty models are standard, we also offer a variety of larger sizes to satisfy any desire. Sizes include 12”, 16”, 24”, 30”, 36”, up to a wall-covering 54”x54”. As the prints get larger, the buildings get bigger and the detail increases! But you get a lot more than simply buildings from MiniCty - you get every tree, bus, hill, park, bridge, and detail, and the largest prints include every car, fence, chimney, spire, and shrub! Check out the shop for prices, and ask us if you don’t see the size you want. We do custom work as well - just contact us to discuss your project idea!
